Truth vs Lies
Self Initiated collaboration with Clim - 2018
Role - Animation, Lookdev, R&D

Truth vs Lies is a self-initiated project by Clim & João Lucas.
Touched by the Catalans' fight for human and democratic rights compounded with the current political climate in the UK, USA and the rise of Fake News widely spread trough social media, we felt it was necessary to create a film that shines a light upon the post-truth era in which we are all living.

This short piece explores how it has become very difficult nowadays for anyone to tell the difference between facts that are based in truth and “facts” that are NOT.

The script was inspired by
this article written by Katharine Viner from The Guardian.

The Concept

Close-up of colorful geometric shapes with shades of blue and purple.
A blue ball with white speckles hanging in front of pink vertical panels in an art installation or display.
A pink ball suspended in midair above a black podium, with a large blue curved backdrop and a gray wall in the background.
A white frame filled with blue and purple balls, set against a pink background with a pink striped wall on the left.
A colorful display of various-sized candles in shades of blue, purple, and white, arranged in a pattern.
A small blue marble on a white circular button or surface, placed on a pink and gray background.
